Book Ideas: Rhapsodic, by Laura Thalassa (2016).

Could be good. Love the look of this cover 📖☕️😊🌻📚💫

Abstract

Callypso Lillis is a siren with a very big problem, one that stretches up her arm and far into her past. For the last seven years she’s been collecting a bracelet of black beads up her wrist, magical IOUs for favors she’s received. Only death or repayment will fulfill the obligations. Only then will the beads disappear.

Everyone knows that if you need a favor, you go to the Bargainer to make it happen. He’s a man who can get you anything you want … at a price. And everyone knows that sooner or later he always collects.

But for one of his clients, he’s never asked for repayment. Not until now. When Callie finds the fae king of the night in her room, a grin on his lips and a twinkle in his eye, she knows things are about to change. At first it’s just a chaste kiss—a single bead’s worth—and a promise for more.

For the Bargainer, it’s more than just a matter of rekindling an old romance. Something is happening in the Otherworld. Fae warriors are going missing one by one. Only the women are returned, each in a glass casket, a child clutched to their breast. And then there are the whispers among the slaves, whispers of an evil that’s been awoken.

Reading Suggestions: Pestilence, by Laura Thalassa (2018).

They came to earth—Pestilence, War, Famine, Death—four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.

Abstract

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed.

Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed.

Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her … and hers towards him.

And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she’ll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

Books To Read : A Legacy Witch

This book is the first of a series of what has been described as a fantastic Young Adult read. Recommended by a friend, I feel this could be worth taking a look at.

Abstract

Witches are dying at Spellcasters Spy Academy.

And I’m always nearby when the bodies are found.

Convincing some people of my innocence is impossible. Like hot-as-hell Alex Wardwell, who makes my heart race even though he shuns me in the corridors.

So between passing the dangerous training Spellcasters requires, convincing Alex he’s wrong about me, and trying to stay alive, I’m going to have a busy year.

Thank the universe I’ve always been up for a challenge.

Reading Suggestions: Keystone, by Dannika Dark (2017).

This looks to be a good series to try.

Dark secrets, unexpected twists, and a blurred line between good and evil will keep you on the edge of your seat. ~ Kindle

Abstract

Raven Black hunts evildoers for fun, but her vigilante justice isn’t the only reason she’s hiding from the law. Half Vampire, half Mage, she’s spent years living as a rogue to stay alive. When a Russian Shifter offers her a job in his covert organization hunting outlaws, dignity and a respectable career are finally within her grasp. The catch? Her new partner is Christian Poe – a smug, handsome Vampire whom she’d rather stake than go on a stakeout with.

They’re hot on the trail of a human killer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. One misstep during her probationary period could jeopardize Raven’s chance at redemption, and her partner would love nothing more than to see her fail. Will Raven find the courage to succeed, or will she give in to her dark nature?

Book Suggestions: Spellhacker, by M. K. England (2020).

Something new for 2020. This book sounds great. I may add this to the #mustread list.

Abstract

In Kyrkarta, magic—known as maz—was once a freely available natural resource. Then an earthquake released a magical plague, killing thousands and opening the door for a greedy corporation to make maz a commodity that’s tightly controlled—and, of course, outrageously expensive.

Which is why Diz and her three best friends run a highly lucrative, highly illegal maz siphoning gig on the side. Their next job is supposed to be their last heist ever.

But when their plan turns up a powerful new strain of maz that (literally) blows up in their faces, they’re driven to unravel a conspiracy at the very center of the spellplague—and possibly save the world. No pressure.

Book Ideas: Fate of the Fallen, by Kade Kel (2019).

Could really be worth taking a closer look

Abstract.

Not all stories have happy endings.

Everyone loves Mathias. Naturally, when he discovers it’s his destiny to save the world, he dives in head first, pulling his best friend Aaslo along for the ride.

However, saving the world isn’t as easy, or exciting, as it sounds in the stories. The going gets rough and folks start to believe their best chance for survival is to surrender to the forces of evil, which isn’t how the prophecy goes. At all. As the list of allies grows thin, and the friends find themselves staring death in the face they must decide how to become the heroes they were destined to be or, failing that, how to survive.

Abstract

My name is Aurora. I am the first of my kind. After I ascended, it became clear to my Guardian’s that I wasn’t your average Lycan. My father’s noble bloodline has gifted me with powers unheard of for a Lycan. Half Lycan. Half dragon. I am a lethal hybrid of the two. With the help of my mates, I am hunting down the traitors to my kingdom, one by one.
The Strigoi may be an ever present pain in my ass, but even they can’t compare to what I feel waiting for us. I feel that something lurks in the background, a puppeteer pulling the strings of the usurpers.
With only two mates left to gather, my harem is almost complete. With their added strength, I will finally be able to avenge my family and take back my Mother’s throne.

On my blood, I will triumph over my enemies… let my bloody coronation begin.

True mates,
blood and gore.
